Tell us about your Michael Page career so far

Many of my friends and peers have used Michael Page in the past and raved about their services so when I decided I wanted to join the recruitment industry, I had only Michael Page on my mind. Thankfully, I was able to join them! 
I joined Michael Page as a Consultant in 2014, quickly identified the opportunity to build the temp business from scratch and have been promoted to Associate Director within four years.
By combining what I learned from Michael Page's world-class training platform alongside my own investment banking background, we launched the Hong Kong office's first dedicated temp desk. Now, the largest investment banks, commercial clients, technology vendors, asset management companies and other financial services providers rely upon me and my team to source suitable candidates at short notice.
I have not only launched and grown the temporary offering, but have also personally trained the rest of Michael Page in Hong Kong on how to effectively work on temporary assignments. I cannot imagine being able to achieve so much and gain so much responsibility in any other organisation in this short space of time!
My role has changed from working on fee-earning activities to more high-level strategic input and improving our front to back office procedures in order to provide a better temporary offerings to our candidates and clients.

How do you spend your time at work?

Every day is different at MichaelPage! On an action-packed day, I would be meeting and calling clients to catch up on latest temporary hirings, having lunch with a candidate to catch up on feedback, managing the offer process, and unwinding at the end of the day by going out with my colleagues for happy hour!
