Our client is a well known International Financial Institution, who is looking to grow their Equities legal team.

Job Description

As a Legal Counsel, Prime Brokerage, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice and support on prime services agreements and transactions.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documentation, including prime brokerage agreements.
  • Advising on regulatory compliance and legal risks related to prime services activities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage legal aspects of new business initiatives.
  • Supporting dispute resolution and handling legal queries from clients.
  • Monitoring changes in laws and regulations impacting the prime services business.
  • Providing training and guidance on legal and regulatory matters to internal teams.
  • Engaging with external counsel when required, ensuring alignment with the organisation's objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A recognised legal qualification with expertise in financial services law.
  • Strong knowledge of prime brokerage and related legal documentation.
  • Experience in advising on regulatory compliance in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
