About Our Client

We are currently partnering with a leading insurance firm to look for a system analyst.

Job Description

As a System Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Assess impacts across applications, integrations, data flows, and business processes.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, QA teams, and vendors to deliver solutions.
  • Review technical designs and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Support system integration testing, UAT, release management, and production deployment.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including BRD, FSD, process flows, and test artefacts.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage changing business priorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful System Analyst should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years' experience in System Analysis, Business Analysis, or Application Development.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with Java-based applications and Angular platforms.
  • Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience with APIs, RESTful services, microservices, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise application architecture.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Alibaba Cloud.
  • Exposure to cloud migration and application modernization projects.
  • Insurance, financial services, banking, pensions, or wealth management experience.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and application security practices.
  • Experience working with offshore teams and external vendors.
