Job Description

  • Build and enhance production-grade applications in Python or Java based on logic originating from Azure Databricks.
  • Develop secure, high-performing REST APIs and configure Azure API Management and Application Gateway.
  • Manage containerized deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service, including YAML/K8s configuration.
  • Oversee full CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps, from container image builds to multi-environment deployments through ACR and AKS.
  • Integrate applications with the Azure data ecosystem, including Data Lake Gen2, Unity Catalog, and relational databases.
  • Coordinate cross-cloud integrations with GCP components such as FHIR Store and Vertex AI.
  • Support the transition of data science outputs into stable microservices in production.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong hands-on experience in Python or Java for backend development.
  • Practical knowledge of Azure components: AKS, APIM, App Gateway, and Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiar with Databricks, Data Factory pipelines, and RDBMS operations.
  • Competent in Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience building microservices and scalable REST APIs.
  • Bonus: exposure to GCP services such as Vertex AI or healthcare data standards like FHIR.
  • Understanding of data lakehouse concepts, particularly Unity Catalog.
  • Suitable for candidates with 2+ years of experience.
