Our client is seeking high-impact Regional Sales Managers / Business Development Managers who thrive on creating opportunities, not just managing accounts.

This is not a maintenance role. They need a proactive market builder with a strong network in the Toys, Stationery, or Lifestyle sectors, someone who knows how to unlock doors with major retailers, distributors, and partners across regions.

Job Description

  • Drive aggressive market expansion by securing new distribution channels and building direct partnerships with key retail players globally.


  • Business Development & Market Expansion:

    Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across global markets, focusing on distributors, wholesalers, and major retail chains in reagional markets especially SEA markets

    Build a robust and sustainable sales pipeline through cold outreach, industry networking, trade shows, and strategic partnerships

    Develop market entry strategies for new territories, including channel selection, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution

    Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring favorable commercial terms aligned with company objectives

    Continuously evaluate and optimize territory performance to maximize revenue growth


  • Strategic Category & Product Development:

    Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor positioning to identify untapped opportunities within Toys, Stationery, and Lifestyle categories

    Collaborate with internal teams to introduce new product concepts tailored to regional demand

    Recommend product assortment and pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness in different markets

    Provide feedback on product development based on customer needs, retail requirements, and cultural preferences


  • Client Relationship Management:

    Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key accounts, including distributors, retailers, and licensing partners

    Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring excellent service and responsiveness

    Develop joint business plans with partners to drive long-term growth and mutual profitability

    Resolve client issues proactively and professionally to maintain trust and strengthen partnerships

    Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling


  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:

    Conduct in-depth market research to stay informed of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities

    Track competitor pricing, promotions, product launches, and channel strategies

    Monitor regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and import/export considerations across regions

    Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to guide strategic decision-making


  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company growth targets and regional priorities

    Set clear sales objectives and KPIs, and ensure consistent achievement or overachievement of targets

    Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, pitching, negotiation to closing

    Optimize sales processes and tools (CRM, forecasting systems) to improve efficiency and visibility

    Drive continuous improvement in sales performance through data analysis and strategic adjustments


  • Team Leadership & Capability Building:

    Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team in China or relevant markets

    Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development support

    Foster a results-driven culture with strong accountability and motivation

    Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans where needed

    Share best practices and market insights to elevate overall team capability


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Partner closely with product development, design, and marketing teams to ensure products align with customer needs and market trends

    Work with supply chain and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery timelines

    Support marketing initiatives including trade shows, product launches, and promotional campaigns

    Ensure brand consistency and positioning across all markets

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant Industry Experience: Proven track record in Toys, Stationery, or Lifestyle products (essential)
  • Regional Sales Markets BD experience in SEA markets
  • Hunter Mindset: Demonstrated success in acquiring new customers and developing markets from scratch
  • Global Exposure: Strong understanding of international sales dynamics; China market experience is a plus
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional networking, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
  • Self-Starter: Highly independent, strategic thinker who can execute without close supervision
  • Native in Cantonese, Fluent in English and Mandarin
