Job Description

Reporting to the HQ and Business leader in Asia, you will partner closely with the regional and country leadership teams across Asia Pacific to drive HR strategies aligned with business growth and transformation objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide practical and solutions-oriented HR guidance, constructively challenging stakeholders to enhance organisational effectiveness while ensuring alignment with global frameworks. You will play a key role in leading and supporting organisation development and change management initiatives, including organisation design, workforce planning, and capability transformation across diverse markets such as Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. This includes supporting the business in navigating evolving commercial models, demographic shifts, and market-specific challenges while strengthening organisational agility. A core focus of the role will be on talent management and capability building. You will design and implement performance management, succession planning, and leadership development strategies, while also enhancing learning and development frameworks across the region. Working closely with leadership teams, you will help assess and strengthen commercial and functional capabilities to support long-term business objectives. In addition, you will oversee the effective delivery of core HR processes and programmes across the region, including performance cycles, compensation and benefits processes, employee engagement initiatives, and workforce planning. You will collaborate with global centres of excellence and regional stakeholders to ensure consistent and high-quality execution of HR initiatives. From an operational perspective, you will leverage HR data and analytics to drive insights and support decision-making, while ensuring compliance with local labour regulations across multiple jurisdictions. You will also contribute to the optimisation and effective use of HR systems and tools. Finally, you will play a key role in mentoring and supporting local HR teams across Asia Pacific, driving capability development and fostering a collaborative, high-performing HR community within a decentralised and multicultural environment.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree-qualified with 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a multinational organisation supporting commercial or sales-driven environments, with a proven track record as an HR Business Partner across regional or multi-country operations in APAC
  • Strong expertise in organisation development, change management, and workforce transformation, coupled with solid experience in talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and learning & capability building initiatives
  • Deep understanding of APAC markets, including Greater China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, with the ability to operate effectively in a decentralised and multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and challenge senior stakeholders with credibility, supported by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly adaptable, proactive and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and drive outcomes with limited supervision
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to support decision-making
  • Industry exposure within healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceutical, dental or related sectors is preferred
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written)
