Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end applications, including frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure components.
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and support the design and implementation of new features and platforms.
  • Perform code reviews to uphold high-quality standards and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Produce clean, scalable, well-structured, and well-documented code following industry standards.
  • Manage external vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and delivery of user stories in a Scrum environment.
  • Provide production support outside of business hours when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Full Stack Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in full-stack software development, including at least 5 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Strong technical expertise in COBOL/CL, Angular, Node.js/React, Oracle Database, JavaScript, AKS, and Azure cloud services.
  • Exposure to Alibaba Cloud, PolarDB, and AI technologies is considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, RESTful API development, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and version control systems.
  • Solid understanding of application performance optimization and coding standards.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead development teams.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Prior experience in the insurance domain, particularly in distribution compensation systems, is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects or programs is preferred.
