Job Description

The Field Sales Account Manager will lead sales activities across the APAC region (excluding China), focusing on identifying new business opportunities and growing existing accounts within industrial and manufacturing sectors. This role involves conducting customer visits, delivering product demonstrations, and providing application expertise to support client needs while positioning tailored solutions that create measurable value. The position requires managing the full sales cycle, including pipeline tracking, quotation preparation, negotiation of commercial terms, and forecasting of sales performance. The candidate will also collaborate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and distribution partners while gathering market intelligence, competitor insights, and identifying new channels and segments for expansion. Regular travel across the region is expected as part of building strong customer relationships and supporting regional growth strategies.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with at least five years of experience in the manufacturing or automation industry, combined with a proven track record in B2B sales and major account management. They possess strong technical understanding and the ability to translate complex solutions into customer value propositions. Fluency in both English and Japanese is essential, along with familiarity with Japanese business practices. The individual should demonstrate a proactive, results-driven mindset, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate effectively in both direct and channel sales environments. A willingness and ability to travel extensively across the APAC region is required.
