Job Description

As a VP/ SVP, Application Development (Custodian System), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Define and execute the technology roadmap and architecture strategy and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Oversee development, support, and enhancement of custody and fund services platforms.
  • Leading the development and implementation of IT systems to meet business objectives.
  • Managing system development projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise IT operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and their potential application to the business.
  • Budgeting and resource allocation for IT and system development activities.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the technology team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP/ SVP, Application Development (Custodian System) should have:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years' technology experience including exposure to custody, fund administration, or asset servicing
  • Experience with core Global Custody platforms, Proxy Voting systems, and familiarity with industry standards such as SWIFT, FIX, ISO 20022, and securities identifiers (ISIN/CUSIP/SEDOL).
  • Hands-on understanding of SQL, ETL tools, and modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, specifically FATCA and MiFID.
  • A strong background in IT systems development and management.
  • Experience in leading technology projects and teams.
  • Expertise in aligning IT strategies with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
