The VP, Cyber Security Management will lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity threats within the financial services industry. We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead and strengthen the cyber defense capabilities across threat management, application security, security architecture, and security operations.

Job Description

As a VP, Cyber Security Management, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead threat intelligence, coordinate incident response, and oversee vulnerability management to ensure timely identification, prioritization, and remediation of risks
  • Drive secure SDLC practices by implementing SAST/DAST tools, reviewing application risks, and coordinating penetration testing for critical systems
  • Perform security design and architecture reviews for new systems, providing practical recommendations to ensure secure architecture across applications, infrastructure, and cloud
  • Oversee SOC operations including monitoring, alert triage, and incident handling; improve detection capabilities and ensure effective use of SIEM tools
  • Lead and mentor a small cybersecurity team, set priorities, and ensure delivery of key security initiatives
  • Work closely with IT teams and business units to provide security advisory, communicate risks, and drive remediation actions

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP, Cyber Security Management should have:

  • A strong academic background in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
  • Solid experience across threat management, AppSec, architecture, and SOC
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry regulations and standards.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred
  • Experience in leading and managing a cybersecurity team effectively.
  • Proficiency in using advanced threat detection and management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
