Our client is a leading financial institution, and this role bridges business and technology, focusing on delivering payment and corporate banking solutions from requirements to production. It offers hands-on involvement across the full development lifecycle within a collaborative, real-world banking environment.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with business and operations units to gather, analyze, and clarify local payment and remittance requirements.
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with developers and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including business requirements documents, use cases, system designs, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Oversee system testing phases including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), live verification (LV), and post-implementation monitoring to ensure solutions are delivered with satisfactory results.
  • Assist in production support activities, including regular technical upgrades, change request management, and release coordination.
  • Support application troubleshooting and debugging to identify root causes and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality and sustainable technical solutions are delivered.

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant work experience is a strong advantage.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in software development projects; candidates with less experience may also be considered.
  • Practical knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, Angular, SQL, and Spring Boot, preferably within banking or financial services environments.
  • Experience in preparing functional and technical specifications, system design, system testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of payment systems, cash products, and corporate banking services; experience in financial institutions is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address unstructured and complex problems.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, with proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
