Job Description

As a Senior System and Network Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Ensuring system security by implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures.
  • Performing regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with the Technology department to implement new IT solutions and upgrades.
  • Documenting system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Monitoring system performance and addressing any potential issues proactively.
  • Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior System and Network Engineer should have:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure planning, implementation, administration, and support.
  • Solid experience in managing and supporting WAN/LAN environments, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, SAN/NAS storage, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Windows Server and Linux operating systems
    • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker)
    • Database platforms (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
    • Cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
