Reporting directly to senior management, the Senior Quality Manager will be responsible for driving quality excellence throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development and raw material inspection through to production and final shipment. This role will play a critical part in ensuring products consistently meet customer requirements, international quality standards, and business objectives.

Our client is a well-established apparel manufacturer with a strong presence in the global knitwear and sweater market. Renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence, the company partners with leading international fashion and retail brands worldwide. As part of its growth strategy, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager (Sweater) to strengthen its quality management function.

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities across the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, standards, and procedures to ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
  • Drive product quality improvements, defect prevention initiatives, and root cause analysis.
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs to improve factory performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage in-line, pre-final, and final inspection processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Technical, Merchandising, and Production teams during sample development and bulk production.
  • Handle customer audits, quality reviews, complaints, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with international quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor QA/QC teams across manufacturing operations.
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Quality Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of quality management experience within apparel manufacturing.
  • Solid experience in sweater and knitwear production is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of knitting, linking, washing, finishing, garment construction, and quality standards.
  • Proven track record in managing quality for international apparel brands and retailers.
  • Sound understanding of AQL standards, quality systems, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
