Our client is a well-established organization with over 1,000 employees globally. They are currently seeking a seasoned HR generalist with strong capabilities in talent management and compensation & benefits to join their Hong Kong team.

Job Description

Reporting to senior management, this role will act as a key HR business partner, supporting leadership in driving both day-to-day operations and longer-term business transformation initiatives across the region. You will work closely with division heads across Front line operations (technical) , Commercial and Corporate functions to understand business priorities, provide strategic HR advisory, and enhance overall organizational effectiveness. A strong understanding of the business and its operational challenges will be critical to success in this role.Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with senior management and the Executive Committee on people-related and commercial decisions, providing strategic HR insights and recommendations
  • Drive the development and implementation of more structured HR frameworks and policies, strengthening overall HR governance and consistency across regions
  • Lead key initiatives in talent management, including succession planning, high-potential identification, and leadership development
  • Enhance performance management practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and forward-looking workforce planning
  • Oversee and refine compensation & benefits programs, including market benchmarking, salary review processes, and supporting business leaders in reward allocation decisions
  • Support ongoing organizational transformation projects, including regional integration and workforce mobility initiatives (e.g., relocation and talent migration across offices)
  • Strengthen HR business partnering capabilities across different offices, improving alignment, collaboration, and local accountability
  • Work closely with business leaders to develop robust manpower planning and budgeting processes, encouraging more proactive and scenario-based planning
  • Drive greater consistency in job grading, career progression frameworks, and talent development practices across the organization
  • Build strong relationships across all levels to enhance employee engagement, communication, and cultural alignment



The Successful Applicant

  • Degree-qualified in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • A seasoned HR professional with 10-15+ years of progressive experience, ideally in a generalist / HR business partnering capacity
  • Strong track record in talent management and compensation & benefits, with hands-on experience driving related frameworks and initiatives
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and provide strategic HR advisory in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Experience in supporting organizational transformation, workforce planning, and change management initiatives will be highly advantageous
  • Prior exposure to regional HR coverage across Asia, with an understanding of cross-border workforce considerations
  • Background in regional, asset-heavy, or operationally driven industries such as shipping, airlines, engineering, industrial is preferred, though candidates from adjacent sectors with relevant transferable experience will be considered
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand operational challenges and translate them into effective people strategies
  • High level of emotional intelligence, maturity, and resilience, with the ability to navigate a relationship-driven and evolving organizational environment
  • Collaborative, hands-on, and adaptable approach, with a willingness to build credibility and influence across different teams and locations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Willingness to travel regionally on a regular basis
