Job Description

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic Business Partner to leaders across Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China, aligning people strategies with evolving business objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide proactive advice and guidance to managers on organizational design, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies, ensuring timely attraction and selection of high-quality talent across the Greater China region.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation management, promotions, transfers, offboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, conducting investigations, resolving workplace concerns, managing disciplinary issues, and supporting fair and consistent people practices.
  • Drive and coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback discussions, talent calibration, and performance improvement plans where required.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen culture, morale, productivity, and retention across diverse employee populations.
  • Support learning and development initiatives by coordinating training programs, leadership development activities, and cross-cultural learning opportunities across the region.
  • Lead or participate in regional Human Capital projects, including talent management, employee experience enhancement, workforce optimisation, system implementation, and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with Group Human Capital teams and regional stakeholders to drive consistency in HR practices while respecting local market and regulatory requirements.




HR Operations

  • Ensure HR policies, employee handbooks, and people practices remain compliant with labor legislation and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
  • Oversee Greater China employee benefits programs, including social insurance, housing fund contributions, MPF administration, medical benefits, and other statutory obligations.
  • Oversee monthly payroll administration and work closely with payroll providers and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely salary payments across all locations.
  • Manage China-specific HR administration, including social insurance filings, housing fund contributions, individual income tax coordination, and employee documentation requirements.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide guidance on employment law changes, particularly in Mainland China, ensuring timely implementation of policy updates and process enhancements.
  • Manage leave administration, attendance tracking, and timekeeping processes, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and company policies.



The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 6-7 years of HR experience, ideally gained within multinational or regional organizations
  • Proven HRBP or HR Generalist experience supporting Hong Kong and PRC operations.
  • Strong end-to-end HR expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and talent management.
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR compliance requirements across Hong Kong and Mainland China; exposure to Macau is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience managing China HR operations is a must, including payroll coordination, individual income tax, social insurance, housing fund administration, and employee documentation.
  • Good understanding of Hong Kong statutory requirements, including MPF administration, IR56 forms, employer tax filings, and Employment Ordinance compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to advise senior leaders, influence decision-making, and align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate HR insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin to support Greater China operations.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and highly professional individual with experience managing cross-border HR initiatives, balancing multiple priorities, and maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
