About Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised logistics and transportation provider with a strong presence across international markets. They are seeking an experienced Air Procurement & Capacity Manager to lead airline partnerships, BSA negotiations, and charter procurement activities.

Job Description

  • Lead the procurement and management of airline capacity, including negotiating and executing Block Space Agreements (BSA) to secure competitive pricing, strategic allocation, and long-term partnership value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners, driving commercial discussions, contract renewals, performance reviews, and capacity optimisation initiatives.
  • Manage full and partial charter programs, including sourcing, contract negotiation, operational coordination, and performance monitoring to support business and customer requirements.
  • Analyse market trends, trade lane demand, and capacity requirements to develop effective procurement strategies and ensure sufficient space availability during peak and off-peak seasons.
  • Work closely with commercial, network, and operations teams to align capacity planning with business growth objectives and service commitments.
  • Monitor airline and charter provider performance, resolve capacity-related challenges, and drive continuous improvements in service quality, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
  • Oversee contract governance, compliance, and approval processes for all airline and charter agreements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Aviation, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in air freight forwarding, airline management, capacity procurement, network planning, or charter operations.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and managing Block Space Agreements (BSA), airline contracts, and charter arrangements with major airline partners.
  • Strong understanding of air freight market dynamics, trade lane development, airline pricing structures, and capacity management strategies.
  • Experience working closely with airlines, commercial teams, and operations stakeholders in a fast-paced logistics or express environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate capacity utilisation, procurement costs, and profitability opportunities.
