Our client is a globally recognised retailer with a strong presence across international markets. With a strong focus on product quality, safety, and compliance, they continue to invest in their sourcing and technical teams in Asia. They are currently seeking a Quality Specialist (Toys) to support their growing product portfolio.

Job Description

  • Oversee product quality and compliance throughout development and production stages
  • Work closely with suppliers and factories to ensure adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support supplier on-boarding activities, including capability assessment and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Review product specifications, testing protocols, and inspection standards to ensure alignment across teams
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inspection readiness and consistency of quality expectations
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues, including customer feedback and production-related concerns
  • Promote proactive risk identification and preventive measures to minimise quality issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support broader technical or quality-related projects

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Engineering, Product Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in quality assurance within toys or consumer goods categories
  • Familiar with international safety and compliance requirements (e.g. US, EU or other major markets)
  • Hands-on experience working with suppliers, factories, and third-party testing partners
  • Strong understanding of product life-cycle from development to production
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across cultures
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Experience in factory assessments or quality systems (e.g. ISO standards) is an advantage
  • A team player with a self-driven and adaptable mindset
