About Our Client

Our client is a well-established international sourcing and manufacturing organisation with a strong global footprint across Europe and Asia. As part of their continuous growth and commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives, strengthen supplier performance, and drive quality standardisation across the Asia Pacific region.

Job Description

  • Drive quality excellence across the region by designing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems, programs, KPIs, and performance metrics that promote continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Control teams across Asia Pacific, ensuring alignment, standardisation, and best practice sharing throughout the region.
  • Establish and maintain robust quality inspection protocols while identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Purchasing and Product Development teams during new product development stages, providing expert guidance on EU regulations, testing requirements, certification standards, and compliance expectations.
  • Monitor and manage supplier quality performance, ensuring adherence to product specifications, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive and corrective actions to mitigate quality and compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with European counterparts to stay abreast of evolving product regulations, compliance requirements, and industry developments, ensuring timely implementation across APAC operations.
  • Lead cross-functional quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare management reports, quality performance analyses, and business presentations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support regional and global quality-related projects and other ad hoc initiatives as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of management experience within manufacturing, product quality, testing, inspection, or commercial laboratory environments.
  • Proven track record in leading regional quality teams and driving quality transformation initiatives.
  • Strong experience in managing cross-functional projects, process improvement programs, and stakeholder engagement across multiple markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, supplier quality management, auditing, and project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to perform risk assessments and implement effective preventive and corrective actions.
  • Solid understanding of product compliance requirements, testing standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of European product regulations and testing standards would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
  • Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific as required by business needs.
