Job Description



  • Lead Capital Raising Strategy (India & South Asia)
    Develop and execute fundraising strategies targeting institutional investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, HNIs) across India and the broader region.


  • Investor Relationship Management
    Build and maintain long-term relationships with key investors, acting as the primary point of contact for fundraising, reporting, and ongoing engagement.


  • Product Positioning & Distribution
    Translate global private equity strategies into compelling investment propositions suited to Indian investors, aligning with local regulatory and market dynamics.


  • Fundraising Execution
    Drive end-to-end capital raising processes, including roadshows, investor meetings, due diligence coordination, and closing commitments.


  • Market Intelligence & Opportunity Mapping
    Monitor fundraising trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in India to identify new capital sources and strategic opportunities.


  • Internal Stakeholder Coordination
    Collaborate with global investment teams, product specialists, legal, and compliance to structure fund offerings and tailor solutions for investors.


  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
    Ensure fundraising activities adhere to Indian regulations (e.g., SEBI AIF framework, cross-border fundraising rules) and global compliance standards.


  • Team Leadership & Platform Development
    Build and mentor a regional fundraising team, establishing scalable processes and contributing to the firm's long-term presence in the India market.



The Successful Applicant



  • Extensive Fundraising Experience
    Solid years in private equity fundraising, institutional sales, or alternatives distribution, with a strong track record of raising capital in India or Asia.


  • Deep Investor Network in India
    Established relationships with domestic institutions (insurance, pension funds, banks), family offices, and wealth platforms.


  • Strong Knowledge of Alternatives & Private Markets
    Expertise across private equity and familiarity with broader alternatives (credit, hedge funds, real assets) within a multi-strategy environment.


  • Regulatory & Market Expertise (India)
    In-depth understanding of SEBI regulations, AIF structures, tax considerations, and cross-border investment frameworks.


  • Leadership & Strategic Skills
    Proven ability to lead senior-level client discussions, influence stakeholders, and operate in a global matrix organization with strong communication and negotiation skills.
