As a Legal Counsel, you'd report directly to the Asia ex-Japan Head of Legal, and take charge of their legal strategy relating to their funds business.

Our client is a leading International Asset and Wealth Management platform. Headquartered in the US, and with operations globally, they are expanding their footprint in Asia and are seeking an experience Legal Counsel to join their team.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Advise, lead and prepare applications and offering documents for SFC fund authorization
  • Advise, prepare and negotiate investment management agreements and prepare internal supporting documentation
  • Liaise with internal and external parties (ie. external counsels, clients, regulators, and internal business units) and conduct legal research

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • Common Law Qualified, with 7+ PQE
  • Big Law experience, or asset management experience relating to HK Retail Funds
  • Experience dealing with SFC
  • Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English (drafting and spoken)

  • Competitive salary ranging from HKD 1,350,000 to HKD 1,650,000 annually.
