Our client is a Hong Kong headquartered hedge fund.

Job Description

As a Legal & Compliance Officer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
  • Managing account opening and KYC/AML requests.
  • Handling necessary documentation for the company and fund entities.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international legal requirements.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of AI technology in the firm.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to address legal and compliance issues.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have around 2 years of paralegal/compliance experience gained from the financial services industry, ideally across trading/brokerage/banking. Whilst a law degree is preferred for the role, it is not a must, if the candidate holds the relevant experience. Excellent proficiency in English is required, whilst Chinese language skills will be advantageous. This position is suited to someone who is a team player, is open to handling a variety of tasks and has a "can-do" attitude.
