Job Description

As the Lawyer Training & Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing talent development programmes for legal professionals.
  • Collaborating with leadership to align development strategies with organisational goals.
  • Managing performance review processes and providing guidance on career progression.
  • Identifying and addressing training and development needs across the legal department.
  • Organising workshops, seminars, and learning sessions to enhance professional skills.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in legal talent development.
  • Building relationships with external training providers and consultants as needed.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be an experienced qualified lawyer, who has been working in another international law firm in Hong Kong. This role is best suited to a lawyer who is looking to transition away from a fee-earning role, into a training and development focused position. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to build relationships by connecting with lawyers at different levels and from various backgrounds. This role requires someone with strong initiative, excellent project management skills, clear decision-making and an analytical mindset.
