We are looking for a motivated Java / Web Developer (Junior) to join a forward-thinking team in the Technology & Telecoms industry. This temporary role, based in Hong Kong, offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to exciting projects while honing your technical skills.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications
  • Work on microservices architecture using Agile and DevSecOps practices
  • Contribute to both frontend and backend application development
  • Support application maintenance and enhancement activities
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment
  • Assist in troubleshooting production and application issues
  • Work with modern technologies including Java, NodeJS, React, Kafka, and AWS

The Successful Applicant

  • Diploma or above in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in either Java or ReactJS development is essential
  • Exposure to both frontend and backend development is an advantage
  • Experience with microservices and cloud platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python development is beneficial
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, and JFrog preferred
  • Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle) is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently under tight project timelines
  • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
