Job Description

As an IT Systems Director (Clearing & Settlement Systems), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of post-trade technology solutions.
  • Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security to meet operational needs.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver technology initiatives.
  • Overseeing system upgrades and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks in post-trade systems.
  • Managing budgets and resources for ongoing and upcoming technology projects.
  • Monitoring industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for post-trade systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Sytems Director (Clearing & Settlement Systems) should have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in system design and development
  • 5+ years in a management and/or technical leadership capacity, with proven experience leading developers and owning delivery outcomes.
  • A strong background in IT and post-trade systems within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in leading technology projects with a focus on post-trade operations.
  • Proficiency in system design, development, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
