Job Description

As an IT Support professional, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software and network-related issues.
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting IT-related problems to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems.
  • Coordinating with external vendors for hardware repairs and software upgrades.
  • Documenting technical issues and providing solutions for recurring challenges.
  • Assisting in IT-related projects and system implementations within the financial services industry.
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on the effective use of IT resources.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Support professional should have:

  • A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 and basic Windows Server concepts.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and basic permissions.
  • Practical experience with Hyper V and virtual machines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, including on premises AD integrated with Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Basic understanding of LAN, Wi Fi, VPN, and TCP/IP concepts, including firewall and routing principles.
  • Experience with FortiGate/Forti Firewall and FortiClient (or similar) for VPN and network security support is preferred.
  • Experience with audio visual and video conferencing systems (e.g., meeting room cameras, displays, control panels, Teams/Zoom/VC hardware).
  • Familiar with remote desktop and windows security patch for system checks and automation tasks is preferred but not essential.
