They are currently expanding their business in the Asia Pacific market.Job DescriptionThe Head of Sales, Asia Pacific/ Sales Area Manager will be responsible for driving the commercial development, distributor network expansion, and brand acceleration of the Maison across the Asia Pacific region.This strategic leadership role focuses on building sustainable growth through strong distributor partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, enhancing retail excellence, and ensuring consistent execution of the luxury brand standards. The position will act as the key liaison between regional markets and Global Headquarters, delivering both commercial results and long-term brand equity.The successful candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, extensive experience in luxury beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, or premium lifestyle brands, and a proven track record of developing distributor-led markets across Asia.Regional Commercial Development & GrowthDevelop and execute the APAC commercial strategy in alignment with the global objectives.Accelerate sales growth, market share, and profitability across existing and emerging markets.Identify, evaluate, appoint, and develop new distributor partnerships in strategic markets throughout Asia Pacific.Build robust market expansion plans to strengthen the footprint and visibility across the region.Drive annual business planning, sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.Lead commercial negotiations and secure sustainable growth opportunities with distributors and key retail partners.Distributor Network ManagementServe as the primary commercial contact for all regional distributors and local partners.Establish strong, collaborative relationships while holding partners accountable for business performance and brand execution.Conduct regular business reviews, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective action plans where necessary.Provide strategic guidance to distributors on sales development, market penetration, retail expansion, and customer acquisition.Evaluate distributor capabilities and ensure adequate resources, investment, and commitment to support the ambitions.Ensure transparency and visibility of local market performance, inventory management, and commercial activities.Retail Excellence & Brand BuildingEnsure consistent implementation of the luxury standards across all retail touchpoints.Partner with distributors to optimize retail productivity, merchandising, visual presentation, and customer experience.Oversee the execution of promotional activities, product launches, events, and trade marketing initiatives.Conduct frequent market visits to assess retail performance, staff engagement, and operational excellence.Safeguard and elevate the premium brand image across all channels and markets.Business Planning & Market IntelligenceDeliver comprehensive sales analysis, business reports, and market insights to Global Headquarters.Monitor consumer trends, competitive activity, distribution developments, and emerging opportunities within the region.Develop performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to support decision-making and business optimization.Recommend strategic actions based on market intelligence and commercial performance.Strategic Partnerships & Market ExpansionIdentify new business channels, strategic retail partners, and market-entry opportunities.Support the launch of new markets and distribution models where appropriate.Collaborate with global teams on pricing strategy, product assortment, forecast planning, and brand investment priorities.Strengthen relationships with leading retailers, department stores, specialty beauty chains, and travel retail operators across APAC.Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentAct as the regional ambassador, representing its values, culture, and standards.Support the development and structuring of regional commercial operations as the business expands.Recruit, coach, and manage local resources where required.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, and commercial excellence.The Successful ApplicantMinimum 10 years of commercial leadership experience within luxury beauty, fragrance, cosmetics, skincare, fashion, or premium consumer brands.Proven success in developing and managing distributor-led businesses across Asia Pacific.Strong knowledge of key APAC markets, particularly Mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.Demonstrated experience in distributor selection, market expansion, and channel development.Strong background in retail management, business development, and strategic account management.Experience working within international or European luxury brands is highly desirable.Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to deliver sustainable growth.Expertise in distributor management and partner relationship development.Fluent English is essential.Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred.Additional Asian languages and/or French would be an advantage.Willingness to travel extensively across Asia Pacific.What's on OfferThis position offers the candidate strong growth opportunities and an excellent career path within the company.
