About Our Client

Our Client is a Hong Kong-headquartered private group with business interests in the investment and entertainment industry across Asia-Pacific region.

Job Description

  • Lead and supervise a finance and accounting team of four, ensuring accurate reporting and effective daily operations.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, and financial planning across the Group.
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, liquidity planning, and placement of time deposits to optimize returns and cash management.
  • Prepare regular financial and banking summaries for the business owner, including cash positions, investments, financing facilities, and key financial indicators.
  • Review management accounts, consolidated financial statements, and provide strategic financial recommendations.
  • Review, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts, business agreements from a financial, compliance, and risk management perspective.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements, including BVI entities and offshore structures where applicable.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, legal advisers, tax consultants, shareholders, and business partners.
  • Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance, and financial policies.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Chairman.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Qualified CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent.
  • 20-25 years of finance experience, including team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audit, taxation, and corporate governance.
  • Experience in a private family-owned business, family office, entertainment, media, or investment-related industry.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdiction operations across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Malaysia, and offshore structures (including BVI entities).
  • Experience supporting business owners, or entrepreneurs on personal banking, investment, and wealth management matters.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, contract review skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
