The role of Full Stack Developer (Node.js/React/Cloud) in the insurance industry is based in Hong Kong. This temporary position focuses on developing and maintaining web applications using modern technologies.

The technology team is investing heavily in customer engagement platforms, delivering innovative solutions such as eServices, chatbots, voicebots and AI-driven applications to enhance the customer experience across multiple channels.

Job Description

  • Gather and analyse business requirements with business analysts and stakeholders
  • Review business processes and recommend suitable technology solutions
  • Convert functional requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Develop and enhance customer digital platforms including eServices, chatbots and voicebots
  • Deliver full stack development across frontend, backend and API integrations
  • Build and maintain applications using Node.js, ReactJS, Java Spring Boot or C#
  • Develop and support cloud-based solutions using Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps and Azure Data Factory
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and project teams throughout the SDLC
  • Participate in solution design, system integration, testing and deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing system enhancements
  • Prepare technical documentation and ensure development standards are followed
  • Support business users and provide technical recommendations for digital initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • 3-5 years of software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and modern web technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, ReactJS, SQL databases and Git version control
  • Experience in frontend web development, backend development and mobile application projects
  • Proficient in either Node.js, Java Spring Boot or C# development
  • Experience with Azure cloud services including Logic Apps, Function Apps and ADF
  • Strong understanding of system integration and API development
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering and technical documentation
  • Ability to coordinate with regional technology teams, architects and business stakeholders
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning or proof-of-concept development is advantageous
  • Azure certifications and large-scale enterprise project experience will be highly regarded
