We are partnering with a growing asset management platform seeking an ETF Portfolio Manager to join its investment team. This role offers hands-on exposure across ETF portfolio management, trading, operations, product development, and market research.

The firm manages a broad suite of investment products spanning equities, fixed income, commodities, and multi-asset strategies, and continues to expand its ETF platform across the Asia-Pacific region.

Job Description

  • Support the management and daily operations of ETF portfolios across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and commodities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of ETF holdings, benchmark methodologies, portfolio performance, and tracking error to ensure efficient portfolio management and index replication.
  • Perform pre-trade and post-trade analysis, liquidity assessments, transaction cost analysis, and execution reviews.
  • Oversee ETF operational activities, including corporate actions, portfolio rebalancing, creation/redemption processes, and PCF preparation.
  • Monitor market developments across global equities, fixed income markets, and commodity sectors (including precious metals and agricultural commodities such as gold, silver, energy, and agricultural products).
  • Assist in managing ETF liquidity and trading activities in collaboration with Authorized Participants (APs), Market Makers, brokers, custodians, and other external counterparties.
  • Support the development and launch of new ETF products, investment strategies, and portfolio solutions.
  • Contribute to process automation and workflow enhancement initiatives through tools such as Excel VBA, Python, and other analytical systems.
  • Participate in investment committee discussions, product development projects, and business initiatives within the ETF platform.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in ETF portfolio management, ETF operations, index investing, portfolio analytics, trading support, or asset management.
  • Solid understanding of multiple asset classes, including:
    • Equities
    • Fixed Income
    • Commodities (particularly gold, silver, energy, and agricultural products)
    • ETF and Index-based investment strategies
  • Familiarity with ETF creation/redemption mechanisms, portfolio construction, index methodologies, and market microstructure.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset; proficiency in Excel required, while VBA, Python, SQL, or other programming experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Enfusion, Aladdin, or similar investment platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of derivatives, including futures and options, would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred. Cantonese is an advantage.
  • CFA, FRM, or other professional investment qualifications (or progress toward completion) are viewed favorably.
