Job Description

As a DBA, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Administering and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitoring database performance and implementing changes to improve efficiency.
  • Managing database backups, recovery plans, and security measures.
  • Collaborating with the technology team to design and implement database solutions.
  • Ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Performing routine database updates and maintenance tasks.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting database-related issues.
  • Documenting database configurations, processes, and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • 4-6 years' hands‑on experience in enterprise database administration
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
  • Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible or Jenkins is advantageous
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving capability with strong ownership mindset
  • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Willing to support deployments or urgent incidents outside office hours
