Job Description

As a Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with business stakeholders across Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Insurance, and support functions to understand business requirements and analytical needs.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and management reports using Tableau.
  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data from multiple sources using SQL and Python.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations confidently to business and management stakeholders.
  • Support digital transformation and data-driven decision-making initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with technology, data governance, and business teams to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance analysis to support business growth and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Analyst should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Data Analyst experience within Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services industries.
  • Experience supporting business stakeholders and delivering data-driven insights in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in Tableau dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Knowledge of banking or insurance products and business processes is highly preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (spoken and written).
