Job Description

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing commercial growth strategies across the APAC region, focusing on both new customer acquisition and the retention and development of existing accounts. You will manage sales budgets, profitability targets, and an active sales pipeline while ensuring all commercial agreements are implemented accurately and aligned with stakeholder expectations. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams globally, including commercial support, procurement, design, and regional leadership, to leverage resources and win new business. You will lead market research and proposal development, manage complex sales tenders, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, catering units, and industry networks. A strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics will be essential, along with frequent regional travel of approximately 30%.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or higher and brings at least two to three years of experience within the airline or travel industry, with solid exposure to business development or commercial roles. Experience with inflight service equipment, airline market dynamics, and an existing industry network will be considered a strong advantage. You are commercially driven, highly organized, and confident in managing negotiations, contracts, and senior stakeholder relationships. You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, with Mandarin capabilities seen as a plus, and you are comfortable working with CRM and ERP systems alongside O365 tools. A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, regional environment are key to success in this role.
