About Our Client

Our client is a newly established Private Credit Fund, based in Hong Kong, who is backed by a leading Asian Private Equity firm. They offer unique and tailored credit solutions to meet their PortCo's needs, and look at opportunities globally.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Structuring, negotiating and supervising the documentation of private credit transactions involving senior debt, mezzanine debt and/or equity, as well as restructuring/insolvency related matters
  • Serving as a strategic partner for the businesses in support of building and managing a varied investment portfolio
  • Building professional and working relationships with the leadership team and key stakeholders
  • Managing external counsel
  • Tracking and monitoring regulatory trends that will have a meaningful impact on the business and strategizing with management on appropriate actions



The Successful Applicant

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Common Law Qualified with 8+ years of experience
  • BigLaw background required, ideally with experience on an in-house legal team or secondments within Special Situations Group or Private Credit strategies
  • Mandarin and English capabilities a must
  • Ability to operate with minimal oversight
  • Experience leading complex cross-border transactions
