Job Description



  • Lead Origination Strategy
    Develop and execute regional DCM origination strategy across APAC to generate new debt financing opportunities (IG, HY, SSA, FIG, corporates).


  • Client Relationship Management
    Build and maintain senior-level relationships with CFOs, treasurers, and government/sovereign entities to drive deal flow.


  • Transaction Execution Oversight
    Oversee structuring, pricing, and execution of bond issuances and debt solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market conditions.


  • Market Intelligence & Advisory
    Provide clients with insights on market trends, interest rate movements, investor demand, and optimal issuance timing.


  • Team Leadership & Development
    Lead, mentor, and manage a regional team of originators; set performance targets and drive a high-performance culture.


  • Cross-Product Collaboration
    Work closely with syndicate, sales, trading, derivatives, and coverage banking teams to deliver integrated financing solutions.


  • Revenue Generation & P&L Accountability
    Own origination revenue targets across APAC, ensuring sustainable profitability and pipeline growth.


  • Regulatory & Risk Management Oversight
    Ensure compliance with regional regulatory frameworks and internal risk policies; manage reputational and execution risks.



The Successful Applicant



  • Extensive DCM Experience
    ~15+ years in debt capital markets, with a strong track record in origination across APAC markets.


  • Deep Client Network
    Established relationships with corporate issuers, financial institutions, and investors across the region.


  • Leadership & Management Capability
    Proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams and influence senior stakeholders.


  • Strong Technical & Market Knowledge
    Expertise in fixed income products (bonds, MTNs, structured debt, ESG financing) and market dynamics.


  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen
    Ability to identify opportunities, drive revenue, and position the bank competitively in evolving markets.
