Job Description

As a VP, IT Security & Technology Risk, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage IT risk management activities across the Technology department to maintain clear oversight of technology-related risks.
  • Identify and assess IT risks, helping the business understand potential impacts on technology operations.
  • Maintain risk records and documentation to provide accurate, accessible information for decision-making.
  • Monitor IT risk items and follow up on agreed actions to support timely risk treatment.
  • Prepare clear risk updates and reports for relevant stakeholders, highlighting key issues and progress.
  • Work with Technology colleagues to gather risk information and promote consistent risk assessment practices.
  • Review changes in technology activities to identify new or changing IT risk considerations.
  • Contribute to improvements in IT risk management processes and reporting within the insurance business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP, IT Security & Technology Risk should have:

  • Practical capability in IT risk management, including identifying, assessing and monitoring technology risks.
  • Experience maintaining risk documentation, registers and action tracking.
  • Ability to prepare concise IT risk reports and updates for business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of technology activities and their potential operational risk impacts.
  • Ability to review risk information carefully and maintain accurate records.
  • Confidence working with Technology teams on risk-related matters.
