As a Front Office System Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mission-critical investment platforms used by portfolio managers, traders, and compliance teams. You'll provide technical expertise, resolve system issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across front office applications.

Job Description

  • Deliver daily support for front office systems including order management, portfolio modeling, and compliance tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve trade booking, pricing, and market data integration issues.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to ensure system reliability and performance during trading hours.
  • Monitor and maintain interfaces with market data providers, execution platforms, and internal systems.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Support pre-trade compliance workflows, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Document support procedures, known issues, and resolution steps for knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in UAT and production deployments for new features and enhancements.
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support during critical releases or market events.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting front office systems in asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX).
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and troubleshooting APIs.
  • Familiarity with order management systems (OMS) and execution management systems (EMS).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a high-pressure trading environment.
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol, market data feeds, and trade lifecycle.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and ITIL practices.
  • Cantonese/ Mandarin speaking is required
