Job Description

As a SVP/ VP, Cybersecurity & Governance, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain cyber security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.
  • Ensure security controls meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cyber security projects and services, delivering solutions to support business needs.
  • Manage budget planning and procurement of security tools and services.
  • Provide security advisory for new initiatives, systems, and product enhancements.
  • Oversee security across overseas branches and subsidiaries.
  • Maintain and enhance security architecture, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats and incidents to minimize business impact.
  • Conduct risk assessments, including third-party/vendor security reviews.
  • Perform security testing, compliance assessments (e.g., C-RAF, iCAST), and track remediation.
  • Analyse threat intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation, regulatory compliance, and strong risk management practices.
  • Develop team capabilities through training and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Engage in industry forums and perform additional duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

A successful SVP/ VP, Cybersecurity & Governance should have:

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices within the financial services industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Certification in CISSP, CISA or related professional qualifications;
  • Relevant HKIB ECF qualification is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and under high pressure with self-motivation
