Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Powerplant Manager with strong aviation engine expertise to oversee the technical and commercial management of aircraft engines across our fleet. This role is critical in ensuring optimal engine performance, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective lifecycle management.

Job Description

  • Manage the technical oversight of aircraft engines across leased fleet portfolios
  • Monitor engine performance, reliability trends, and maintenance status
  • Oversee engine maintenance programs, shop visits, and repair events
  • Evaluate and approve engine maintenance reserves, work scopes, and cost estimates
  • Provide subject matter expertise on engine types (e.g., CFM, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce)
  • Liaise with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and technical consultants on engine-related matters
  • Support lease transitions, redeliveries, and inspections, ensuring contractual compliance
  • Analyze engine data and recommend strategies for cost optimization and asset value preservation
  • Assist in technical due diligence for aircraft acquisitions and disposals
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineeringor related field
  • Minimum 8-12 years of aviation experience, with strong focus on aircraft engines / powerplant management
  • In-depth knowledge of turbofan engines and major OEM platforms
  • Proven experience in engine maintenance planning, shop visits, and lease environment
  • Strong understanding of aircraft leasing contracts, maintenance reserves, and redelivery conditions
  • Familiarity with EASA/FAA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
