We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to lead the full lifecycle of the Snacks category.You will take ownership of end-to-end sourcing, merchandising and product development, ensuring strong commercial performance, successful launches and on‑time project delivery. You will work closely with suppliers across Asia and collaborate with commercial teams globally.

The company operates a regional sourcing office in Hong Kong, partnering closely with manufacturers across Asia to develop and supply innovative, high‑quality products for global customers.

Job Description

  • Lead the full sourcing and merchandising process for the Snacks category, ensuring strong commercial performance and timely project delivery.
  • Identify market trends and new product opportunities across chips, puffed snacks, savoury snacks and adjacent formats.
  • Develop and implement supplier strategies, strengthening long-term partnerships across regional manufacturing bases.
  • Manage cost negotiations, sampling, product development timelines, production follow‑up and quality alignment.
  • Drive margin optimisation, category planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global teams on range planning, customer proposals and launch execution.
  • Lead and mentor team members to develop category expertise and strong execution capability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical and quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG Buying, Sourcing, Merchandising, Category Management or Account Management.
  • Strong experience in snacks or related ambient food categories, particularly chips, savoury snacks, puffed snacks or other shelf‑stable packaged snack products.
  • Deep understanding of Asia manufacturing, supplier management and end‑to‑end product development.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
  • Agile, proactive and comfortable working across fast‑moving, multi‑market projects.
