Job Description

As a Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensuring effective financial controls and risk management practices are in place.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights.
  • Monitoring cash flow and optimizing financial resources for operational efficiency.
  • Supervising and mentoring the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors as needed.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring compliance within the retail sector.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller should have:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA preferred)
  • 10-15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit
  • Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Frequent travel is required
