A prestigious and internationally recognised wine group is seeking an experienced and motivated Wine Distributor Sales/ Private Sales Manager to strengthen its presence across Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to join a high‑performing team and play a key role in expanding a leading wine brand's private client business.

Job Description

You will drive revenue growth and deepen client relationships across the region, focusing on Ultra‑High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) from Hong Kong and ASEAN markets. You will be responsible for:

  • Executing effective sales and business development strategies to meet revenue and growth objectives.
  • Advising private clients on their wine collections, helping them achieve their personal goals and investment interests.
  • Acquiring new clients through intermediaries, private events, marketing initiatives and referral networks.
  • Building and managing a strong regional network to identify key prospects globally.
  • Leading with vision-developing and nurturing a motivated team to solidify the company's competitive edge in a fast-paced market.

The Successful Applicant

  • A proven track record in driving sales growth and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong wine knowledge, preferably with professional wine training such as WSET Level 2 or Advanced Sommelier certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Experience engaging with clients from Hong Kong and ASEAN countries, both in-person and virtually.
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strong competency in ERP systems and sales processing tools.
  • At least five years of sales and new business development experience, ideally within the wine industry or a related premium/luxury sector.
