Job Description

  • Lead the full spectrum of pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying functions.
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender submissions, pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
  • Review tender documents, specifications and contract conditions to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Manage subcontract procurement, tender analysis, bid evaluation and award recommendations.
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare, negotiate and agree variation orders, claims and final accounts with clients, consultants and main contractors.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, profitability and commercial performance.
  • Manage interim payment applications and certification processes to ensure healthy project cashflow.
  • Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior management.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, contractors and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare management reports, project forecasts and business performance analyses.
  • Mentor and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial staff.



The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant quantity surveying and commercial management experience.
  • Proven experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminium works, steel works, cladding, E&M or major building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong construction contracts and commercial practices.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven leadership experience managing commercial and QS teams.
  • Sound business acumen and commercial mindset.
