Our client is a leading international consumer products company with a strong global presence and a reputation for innovation, quality, and premium brand partnerships. They are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager - Beauty, to drive the development of skincare, beauty, and personal care products across international markets.

Job Description

  • Manage the full product development life cycle for beauty and personal care products, from ideation to launch.
  • Collaborate with laboratories, manufacturers, suppliers, and brand partners on product formulation, packaging, testing, and production.
  • Identify and develop new supplier and manufacturing partnerships that support quality, innovation, sustainability, and commercial objectives.
  • Drive new product launches and continuous improvement of existing product portfolios.
  • Coordinate product testing, sampling, approvals, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with design and branding teams on product packaging and artwork development.
  • Manage product specifications, formulations, costing, and development documentation.
  • Support sustainable product initiatives, including eco-friendly ingredients, materials, and packaging solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with commercial objectives.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Development Manager should have:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in beauty, skincare, personal care or product development environments.
  • Strong understanding of skincare, beauty and personal care formulations.
  • Hands-on experience working with laboratories, manufacturers, and suppliers throughout the product development process.
  • Proven project management, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainable beauty products, ingredients or packaging would be advantageous.
  • Fluent English and Chinese communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to Mainland China as required.
