Reporting to the Head of Controllership, this high-impact role will own monthly and annual consolidations, board-level reporting, technical IFRS accounting, complex transactions including M&A and impairment assessments, and serve as the key liaison with external auditors.

About Our Client

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing international consumer products business as Reporting & Consolidation Lead to oversee the integrity of group financial reporting across China and Hong Kong.

Job Description

  • Lead monthly and annual group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, ownership changes.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, insightful group reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, variance analysis, and management reports.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for IFRS and technical accounting matters.
  • Providing guidance on complex areas such as revenue recognition, impairment reviews, provisions, acquisitions, restructurings, and new accounting standards.
  • Own and continuously enhance the group accounting framework, including chart of accounts, accounting policies, consolidation mappings, and reporting standards.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting processes, ensuring timely reconciliation, matching, elimination, and alignment with finance and tax teams across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Support corporate growth initiatives by integrating new entities and acquisitions into the group reporting structure.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on consolidation and technical accounting matters.
  • Leading and developing a small team responsible for group reporting and financial consolidation activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant.
  • Professionally qualified accountant.
  • Strong foundation in IFRS, group consolidation, and technical accounting standards.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience gained within Big 4 firms, managing complex group reporting and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in consolidating multi-entity, multi-currency operations within an international business environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Strong technical accounting capabilities with proven experience advising on complex transactions.
  • Hands-on experience with leading consolidation and financial reporting systems such as SAP Group Reporting, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and cross-functional teams, acting as a trusted technical accounting advisor and key point of contact.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese, with strong communication and analytical skills.
