We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Security Consultant to support a leading organization in the insurance industry. This role focuses on ensuring the security of technology infrastructure and safeguarding sensitive data.

Job Description

  • Identify information security risks and define mitigation and remediation plans
  • Design, implement and support security tools, platforms and services
  • Take ownership of security-related projects, including coordination and delivery
  • Develop, interpret and maintain security policies, standards and procedures
  • Support regulatory, audit and internal security compliance activities
  • Deliver security awareness programmes and technical training sessions
  • Assess new and emerging security technologies and provide recommendations
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application and business teams to embed security

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2-4 years' experience in information security or security consulting roles
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of security engineering, network and system security
  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms, security protocols and cryptography
  • Experience in application or infrastructure vulnerability testing and audits
  • Proven ability to consistently implement and maintain security controls
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
