Job Description

As an IT Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders and business users.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL to identify trends, investigate issues, and support business decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, testers, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support system enhancement initiatives and participate in requirement clarification, solution design, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Conduct impact analysis and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives.
  • Assist senior Business Analysts in project delivery and stakeholder management activities.
  • Support day-to-day system and business operations as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Business Analyst should have:

  • Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, business process analysis, and documentation.
  • Strong SQL skills with practical experience in data analysis and data investigation.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese (spoken and written).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • Exposure to pension, retirement, MPF, or financial services-related systems.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
