Job Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Human Resources Director will lead the people agenda for a significant business platform within a highly regarded global financial institution. This position combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and will be responsible for delivering end-to-end HR support across the employee life-cycle.



As the senior HR leader, you will work closely with executive stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies that enable business growth, enhance organisational effectiveness, and strengthen talent capabilities. You will act as a trusted advisor and key decision-maker on workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, succession planning, leadership development, compensation, employee engagement, and employee relations matters.



Leading a lean but experienced HR team, you will oversee multiple HR disciplines including HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Operations. Success in this role will require a hands-on leadership style, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate effectively within a complex multinational and matrix environment.



The successful candidate will also play a critical role in driving HR transformation initiatives, including HRIS optimisation, process improvements, digitisation projects, and the implementation of best-in-class HR practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR leader who enjoys partnering directly with senior stakeholders while remaining close to the day-to-day realities of the business and their team.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Experience

  • 15-20+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience managing HR teams.
  • Proven track record within financial services organisations.
  • Strong experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated success leading end-to-end HR functions and people strategies.
  • Experience managing organisational change, transformation, and business growth initiatives.

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience within asset management, investment management, private markets, hedge funds, private banking, or broader buy-side environments.
  • Exposure to global or regional HR leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience working within complex multinational organisations.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and Talent Management.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent enterprise HR platforms.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics, workforce planning, and digital HR transformation initiatives.
