Our client is a large organization within the financial services industry, known for its strong investment platform.

Job Description

As a Legal Professional in the team, you will focus on M&A and PE investments, as well as general commercial work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing sound legal advice to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents and contracts.
  • Advising on regulatory matters and managing relationships with regulatory authorities.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks for the organization.
  • Supporting internal teams with legal knowledge and updates on changing laws.
  • Handling legal disputes and coordinating with external counsel when necessary.
  • Contributing to the development of internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The Successful Applicant

This role is looking for a PRC or HK qualified lawyer (other jurisdictions may also be considered), with at least a few years of post-qualification experience handling USD and RMB private equity investments. In-house experience is desirable, but not a must, so candidates coming straight from private practice will be considered. A high-level of Mandarin and fluency in English will also be required for this role.
