Job Description

As the Head of Legal & Compliance, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Legal and Compliance function, providing strategic advice to senior management and the board on legal, regulatory and governance matters.
  • Support private equity investments, fund formation, fund management activities, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Draft, review and negotiate investment agreements, fund documents, commercial contracts and corporate documentation.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, compliance monitoring and SFC regulatory engagement across the business.
  • Manage legal risk, disputes, regulatory engagement and external legal counsel.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal & Compliance should have:

  • Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience gained in-house and/or private practice.
  • Strong buy-side experience, ideally covering private equity, fund management, asset management or investment platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of investment funds, corporate transactions, financial services regulation and governance matters.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong English and Chinese language capabilities; Mandarin is advantageous.
