Job Description

As a Finance Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
  • Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
  • Lead financial risk management and internal controls
  • Drive cost control, efficiency improvements, and profitability
  • Partner with business units to support operational decisions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools (ERP, automation)

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Director should have:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional qualification (CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent)
  • 10-15+ years of finance/accounting experience. 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience in medium-sized or growth-stage companies
  • Industry experience relevant to the business (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and compliance
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Native in English and fluent in Cantonese/Mandarin preferred
